Productive Things To Do When Bored: Get Organized at Home
When thinking about productive things to do at home when bored, then the first thing that should come to mind is organizing your home!
I got more inspired by the home organization after watching the Get Organized with The Home Edit series on Netflix! I loved every transformation The Home Edit did in every episode. If you haven’t seen that, you should definitely check it out!
1. Plan your meals for the week
Planning your meals for the week not only saves you a lot of time, but it also helps you save so much money on groceries!
You can use a meal planner to help you figure out what to eat during the week. I like planning my meals because I don’t like to spend time stressing about what to make for lunch or dinner!
2. Try a new recipe
I have to be honest, I have go-to foods, and it is difficult for me to try out new food! I am not a fan of cooking too, so I cannot imagine myself cooking new recipes all the time.
Although I have one of those days when trying a new recipe is on top of my productive things to do at home!
3. Organize your kitchen
4. Clean out your fridge and pantry
If you want to take your kitchen organization to the next level, then the next productive thing to do at home is to clean out your fridge and pantry.
The best way to organize it is by using food storage containers to make more space.
5. Check expiration dates
While you are cleaning out your fridge and pantry, chances are you will encounter expired food. Throw it out and add it to your grocery list if you plan to purchase it again.
6. Restock your fridge and pantry
7. Declutter your wardrobe
How often do you clean up your wardrobe? Since I am living in Sweden, I have to deal with four seasons, and I have seasonal clothes.
There is a high chance that you keep clothes and accessories you no longer wear for the past 6 months (or sometimes a year)! If you know you haven’t worn them for that long, then it’s the perfect time to put it to your donation bin.

I only have basic makeup products, so organizing my beauty products is not too much work. I told myself that everything should fit on a turntable (with stackable containers, of course).

Creating a system when organizing your bills helps you keep track of the bills to pay or the bills you paid. It is less stressful and more manageable when you organize your bills.
I use a bill checklist in the Notion app and there I listed all the bills I have to pay including its due date. I also note if the bills are auto-debit.
